Meridian Precision GPS Frequency Standard
Our Top-of-the-Line GPS Frequency Standard
For Unmatched Precision and Accuracy
|
|
|
The Meridian Precision GPS TimeBase is a frequency standard that provides the most precise and stable,
GPS-synchronized, time & frequency outputs in the world. A study of the specifications of our competitors'
products, including SAASM, shows that they are unable to match the accuracy and stability we deliver in the Meridian.
The Meridian uses our individually characterized precision oscillators and software algorithms developed over
30 years of engineering experience in the frequency control industry.
These algorithms steer the outputs and isolate them from system anomalies, providing you with
unmatched precision and accuracy. The modular, solid state design yields a conservative
MTBF of 25 years and accepts a wide range of
field-installable options.
- A 1 PPS output with <10 nanoseconds RMS timing accuracy to GPS.
- A frequency accuracy better than 1x10-13 at 1 day.
- A plug-and-play design that accepts up to 5 option modules in a single 1U chassis.
- A network port with NTP, SNMP, SSH, Telnet, FTP, Enterprise MIB and more.
- A user-friendly display & keypad with built-in help menus.
- An amplitude-modulated, user-selectable timecode output (IRIG-B, NASA-36, 2137).
- An RS-232 serial port.
- Two-year warranty, free technical support and software upgrades for life.
- Options: OCXO, Rubidium,
Low Phase Noise Outputs, Telecom Outputs,
10 MPPS, Pulse Rates,
Additional Time Code Outputs, Alarm, -48Vdc Input,
PTP/IEEE-1588 Grandmaster
and more.
Oscillator Options
The Meridian can be configured with a complete set of oscillator options
ranging from a low-cost OCXO with SC-cut resonator to a state-of-the-art compact
Rubidium unit. An ultra-stable OCXO with SC-cut resonator provides metrology grade short term stability,
excellent phase noise, temperature stability and ageing. Click here for datasheet.
Low Phase Noise (LPN) Output Option
This option provides four isolated, 5 or 10 MHz, frequency output signals with
exceptional spectral purity. The Meridian is designed to support up to five option modules
which will provide 20 LPN outputs. Careful attention to power supply filtering and
signal routing preserve the same high-performance phase noise and spurious noise
characteristics as the source oscillator. Click here for datasheet.
Telecom Clock Output Option
This module provides two outputs which can be any combination of E1, T1 or Composite Clock.
The Meridian is designed to support up to five option modules
which will provide 10 telecom clock outputs. An alarm output is available as an additional option. SSM is supported.
Programmable Digital Output Option
This module adds four independently programmable outputs to your Meridian Frequency Standard. The
Meridian is designed to support up to five option modules which will provide 20 outputs.
These buffered outputs can provide user-selectable, on-time pulse rates from 1
PPS to 10 MPPS, or a digital timecode output. An upgrade provides access to the
Meridian DDS with rates from 1 PPS to 10 MPPS in 1 PPS steps. The synthesized rates are phase-locked to the system
oscillator. Click here for
datasheet.
Analog Timecode Buffer Option
This module provides four time code outputs. The Meridian is designed to support up to five option modules
which will provide 20 buffered timecode outputs. The
user-selectable format can be one of either IRIG-B122, IRIG-B123, IRIG-B
IEEE-1344 compliant, NASA-36, or 2137.
More Options
Several other output options are available. Click here
for datasheet. These outputs, which
provide additional flexibility in configuring your Meridian GPS Frequency Standard, are:
- One or two programmable pulse rate outputs.
- A direct digital synthesizer (DDS).
- An alarm output.
- A second serial port with a once-per-second, on-time, serial timestring.
