Tycho CDMA Frequency Reference
Easy Installation - No rooftop antenna required
|
|
The Tycho CDMA Frequency Reference lowers the cost of any frequency control project
and makes an ideal time and frequency standard. This rackmount unit uses CDMA
rather than GPS as its timing source, allowing you to locate the antenna anywhere you can
receive a cell phone signal. This saves you the trouble and expense of installing a GPS rooftop antenna.
- A 1 PPS output which is synchronized to UTC to within 10 microseconds.
- Highly stable, comparable to direct GPS.
- An amplitude-modulated, user-selectable timecode output (IRIG-B, NASA-36, 2137).
- A network port with SSH, Telnet, FTP, SNMP, Enterprise MIB and more.
- An RS-232 serial port.
- Two-year warranty, free technical support and software upgrades for life.
- Options: OCXO, Low Phase Noise Outputs, 10 MPPS, Pulse Rates, Alarm, -48Vdc Input.
The Antenna Advantage
Most precise time receivers require an antenna that
must be installed on the roof of your building, with good sky visibility. The Tycho CDMA Frequency Reference
eliminates this problem by synchronizing to within 10 microseconds of UTC using signals broadcast from the
CDMA cellular telephone system. You benefit by not having to install
a rooftop antenna and still having a timing reference that is as stable as
with GPS.
Low Phase Noise Output Option
This option provides four or eight isolated,
5 or 10 MHz, frequency output signals with exceptional spectral
purity. Careful attention to power supply filtering and signal routing
preserve the same high-performance phase noise and spurious noise
characteristics as the source oscillator.
